Privacy Policy

Quran Study is a free app for reading and reviewing the Quran. It is built to be private by design. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your information.

Information we collect

None. Quran Study does not require an account, does not ask you to register, and does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.

Your data stays on your device

Your highlights, notes, review tags, bookmarks, reading history, and settings are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and they are removed if you uninstall the app.

Internet use

• Recitation audio streams from public third-party sources (EveryAyah and Quran.com) only when you choose to play it. As with loading any web page, those services receive the standard network request needed to deliver the audio. Reading, highlighting, and bookmarks all work offline.
• Bug reports are optional. If you use the in-app "Report a bug" form, the message you type — and your email, only if you choose to add one — is sent through our form provider (Formspree) so it can reach us. Nothing is sent unless you submit the form.

No ads, no tracking, no analytics

The app contains no advertisements, no third-party analytics, and no tracking identifiers.

Children's privacy

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Third-party content

Quran text and font are provided by the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex (KFGQPC). The English translation is Saheeh International. Recitation audio is provided by EveryAyah and Quran.com. These sources are credited in the app under Settings → About.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.

Common questions

• I can't hear the recitation. Audio streams from the internet, so you need a connection. Check that you're online and try again.
• How do I change the reciter? Go to Settings → Recitation → Change, and pick from the list.
• How do I make the text bigger? Open Settings and tap "Easy view" for large, high-contrast text — or use the +/− buttons to fine-tune each size.
• Does the app work offline? Yes. Reading, highlights, bookmarks, and settings all work without internet. Only the recitation audio needs a connection.
• Is my data private? Yes. Everything you save stays on your device. See the Privacy Policy above.
